Weekend 1 in Denver

It's safe to say we will be sleeping well tonight after a busy and fun first weekend as Colorado residents. We left Thursday afternoon to head up to Beaver Creek for Bernie & Cara's wedding. Bernie was a teammate of Wes' at W&L who lives in Boulder. We were so happy to be a part of their big weekend!

The rehearsal dinner was in Vail at a place called Bol- a swanky, non- traditional bowling alley. Amazing food, great music- a very cool spot and such a fun idea for a rehearsal dinner. Wes had the highest score of the night- which he is still bragging about. I keep reminding him that it isn't necessarily the coolest thing to be the best bowler.

Wes' form in action:

Followed by Pete's form. Can you spot the differences? The form is similar, but Pete (after a couple beers at altitude) likes to bowl shirtless.

On Saturday, we spent the morning hanging out by the pool and enjoying the beautiful Colorado mountain weather! The wedding was in Cordillera (just West of Beaver Creek)- so we all took shuttles there around 3 PM.

Sunflowers, pinecones, aspen trees - cute theme for a summer mountain wedding!

Congrats to Bernie & Cara!

On our way back home on Sunday - Wes dropped me off at Katie Walker's baby shower. She looks AMAZING and only has a month & a half left to go. It was so fun to see the family and spend some time with everyone. We decorated onesies - which was such a cute idea. I was going to make one that said FREE TEQUILA! but since that didn't seem like the most appropriate phrase for an infant- I went with "THE little BIG ONE"
