We are officially in Denver now and "moved" into the apartment. "Moved" in quotes because it basically means we inflated an air mattress, set up some folding chairs, put a picnic blanket down as a "rug" and put our Kirkwood bakery items in the fridge.

Here are some pictures of the place. While it certainly isn't the style I would choose, we lucked out with this place. Its clean, spacious, and most importantly- in a great location (more pictures of that to come tomorrow).

The kitchen & entry way to the downstairs bathroom & bedroom

 

The downstairs bathroom & bedroom... Wes said he felt like the downstairs shower was something out of the Austin Powers Gold Member movie. The doors in the downstairs bedroom go out to a little patio/porch.

The main living area with a gas fireplace thingy & the most special part of the house- the concrete cut out wall. The first time I saw it, I nearly fainted due to its ugliness, but we haven't been here terribly long, and I already don't notice it. That is also the side door- which is the main door we use.

 

The stairs & the master bedroom- which is the entire second floor. Its very spacious and has enough for a sitting room & bedroom. There is also a big walk in closet & full bathroom up here as well.

 

Master bath (notice the special cabinet designs circa 1981) and our washer and dryer... which will be replaced this week since the dryer sounded like a "jet engine" as Wes described it.

And Wes' favorite part of the place... the GARAGE! 

So far it has been great- and the location makes those concrete cut-outs non-existent. Once we get our furniture- which is supposedly arriving Tuesday ( I will believe it when I see it!) - I will take some more pictures. It's 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms - so that means we expect visitors!!! Hint, Hint...
