Cherry Creek

Yesterday we got home and there were some beautiful flowers waiting for us from Leigh & Tyler! They are definitely brightening up the apartment! Thanks Leigh Leigh!

We also got to have dinner with Jen last night who is in town for business. She was staying at the JW Marriott which is only 3 blocks from our place. We had some celebratory Mangoritas in honor of the fact that we both live on the West Coast now! (Well, Denver is at least closer to the West Coast...)

So despite the 80's decor of our place, the most amazing thing about it is that we are within walking distance to nearly everything. Cherry Creek is home to a very swanky mall (similar to the Westchester) and tons of other shops - everything from  furniture stores, to small boutiques, to big box shops. There are also TONS of amazing restaurants - I can't wait to eat at every single one!

From 3rd Ave up, it is beautiful residential, tree-lined streets. I have been drooling looking at all the houses. All different types of architecture- which is fun for us since all we saw at home were capes and colonials.

Here are some houses on our street:

Once you get to 3rd - then all the shops begin... this could be dangerous...

You can see the mall in the distance here... it has a Container Store which is the most exciting:

There are pirates sitting on a lot of the benches- we have yet to figure that one out yet.

I just got back from my walk and the movers are here..
Goodbye Air Mattress!

Time to find out if all of our stuff will fit!
