New Sheriff In Town

There is a new sheriff in town Mile High Hays readers!  As of 8am mountain time today, Katie Hays is on the clock working for the man again!!!  She started her new role as a graphic designer at TransAmerica Capital this morning down in the Denver Tech Center.  I dropped her off and it was much like I imagine taking kids to their first day of school is like...she was ready and raring to go, and I, well I was trying to keep a brave face on. 

We have had an amazing last two months of hanging out, moving cross country and starting our new life together but I guess one of us had to bite the bullet sooner or later - psyched it wasn't me!  (Yet.)  I am quite proud of her.  Not because she started a new job today though.  But because she pursued her creative dream last year and went back to school to get the skills she needed to get exactly the kind of job she landed last week.  They are lucky to have her...as am I. 

So the posts from here on will likely be more from me when I take breaks from cleaning, cooking and staying pretty.  I hope I can keep up with the high standard Katie has set...we'll see!
